Crowley Nursery is now a Botanical Garden!

Crowley Nursery is the inspiration and creation of its owner, Kathy Crowley. "I invite all to come and visit my Heaven on Earth".

The Dream

I dreamt of being in the nursery business all my life. My parents and grandparents were in the business in New Jersey. From when I can barely remember, I would help water and weed the plants, and do whatever was asked of me. I loved working with the plants and making them beautiful.

The Vision

We have a 20 acre property at the end of a dirt road. I had a vision of beautiful gardens. At that time it was so far away from people. Life has its ups and downs, and the vision of a nursery being on the property formed into reality. I would drive an hour from our home everyday to my dream, getting home in the dark. We finally sold our home and moved onto the property.

A Family Business

My son, Paul, who passed away four years ago, was the first to help in my project, giving me much inspiration in the direction it has taken.

Charlie, my husband, joined in, and does the purchasing of my plants. He has traveled all his life, so it was a perfect job for him.

As we progressed and expanded, my oldest son, Warner, joined in, and is our expert in the propagation of plants, expecially bamboo.

Finally, my next son, Brad, joined us. He loves the landscape part of the business and creating interesting features along the garden paths.
